About Camp Alzafar

Camp Alzafar is a 320-acre property in the Texas Hill Country owned by the Alzafar Shriners, a local chapter of the Shriners International fraternity. It's a dedicated space for the Shriners and their families to enjoy recreational activities, strengthen their bonds of brotherhood, and build a sense of community. Acquired in the 1920s, Camp Alzafar represents a tangible manifestation of the Shriners' commitment to fellowship and creating a lasting legacy for their members.
The camp offers a diverse range of activities, from outdoor adventures like archery, hiking, and swimming, to indoor pursuits such as an art studio. It's not just a place for recreation; Camp Alzafar also fosters a vibrant community spirit, hosting events and activities that encourage camaraderie and a sense of belonging among its members.
In essence, Camp Alzafar embodies the values of the Shriners: fun, fellowship, and a commitment to community, all within the serene beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
